yes, these belong to some people that live on the next block who I've never seen in the trucks...so I don't know who they belong to, but it's such a great occurance that they were parked just a few cars away, and I snapped the pic...I've been meaning to take the picture to explain about the story for a few years now....
But that cranky old ma more…

Yeah, I know. It was very disturbing, especially in AP Euro.

Lately, there's been a lot of arguing of whether or not it DID exist; obviously it did, but as the survivors are dying because of age, it's up to their grandkids and other jews to make peace within the Jewish community and their own Israeli politics (within Israel and between more…

My mother wants an AK cruise, too. I went with my dad's parents on that one, so there was no way my mother could have gone...haha

But i think the "little american world" isn't so little, and that many people do reach out and educate themselves, but there are TONS of ignorant people, who don't care, or don't know, or just simply haven't more…

The BC and alaska trip sounds very nice. My parents always wanted to go on an alaskan cruise, perhaps they will once my dad retires. Most of the people that went to canada here have went to niagra falls and then crossed the boder there.

It's impossible to not have a car here too. The bus network doesn't start until the suburbs...and on more…

I've found tons of blogs of expats living in UK and germany and norway, etc.

Its great because it's first hand from someone who experienced it already...
I get so carreid away reading what they've written that that is what actually got me looking for blog sites. Once you asked what sites people've tried out. I did Blogger, Expat- more…

No, nobody here(that I know of) wants to leave the country. Most people hang on to the 'greatest place on earth' and seems to think anything outside the US is a third world country with no human rights. I guess they just ignore the fact that we never have the highest quality of life..or even the highest average income.

    Well two years o more…

hen I was 9, I had a pen pal in London, who was a close family friend's neice, and we exchanged a few letters...She however, went into university or another prestige form of higher-education in England at age 11 or 12 and stopped writing me. I also wish that we kept on writing because being from different parts of the world, you learn so much about more…

I loved tunnels! We used to play "hold your breath and make a wish" the whole time you're under the tunnel. I suppose that if you sit in a jam under a tunnel while playing this game you'll pass out or die, lol.

oh yes I heard about your commutes in LA. An hour is not common here. The entire parkway east(for all of the eastern suburbs) only takes 15 minutes to go the entire length of it(with no traffic). The bad part will be coming home because we have tunnels on the parkway that cause traffic backups..it will probably take me an hour and a half to get hom more…

    that's right, sorry. Pitt...

SMC is just about 40 minutes with traffic in the car, but for Los Angeles, where everything is spread out, 40 minutes is nothing. It took me 1 hour and a half to go to highschool, and 2.5 hrs to come home, so I"m used to the commute...

Well they will but they won't. They are helping by paying for my college completely. Which I am very grateful for because I wouldn't want to start my life in debt by student loans. I also have some bonds things that I can cash. And plus I'll probably be getting more money for christmas and birthday gifts. But the rest is up to me.

true, lethargy comes with darkness. All my college classes are after 6, except i've got one at 2, so I'm going to be dying of sleepyness....I hope my professors won't be boring...

No you only have to be 17 to get an ATM. Thats why I was so excited to get it because I didn't have to wait until I was 18 haha

OOOH, 18 is sophisticated and free. Of course, if we lived in Europe we'd be free since 16, or was it 11?
